That is seriously radtastic! Best custom bokeh ever! You said you cut this out of aluminum?? And then how did you mount it to your lens? Just stick in front with some tape?

I pessimistically thought that this wouldn't work. Turned out awesome! I'm going to start thinking up shapes and do some experimenting.

I did some test runs with some made out of Yogurt lids, before I took the time to cut one out of aluminum (pierce work).
ReplyDeleteLots of lights will help, also I think I will try making smaller ones, in theory so closer lights will also get the affect.

I used a 52mm custom filter that you can put your own glass into. I think I picked one up for $6
